In light of energy saving week 2018, we have narrowed down some quick and easy energy savings tips that will help you reduce your bills quickly.
The average household can save up to £250* on energy bills, and here are some ways to get started…
Have a brew – not a bill!
Only fill the kettle up to the amount you want to use, as this could save you £6 a year*.
Don’t run the tap
Using a bowl to wash up rather than running a tap could save you £25 a year in energy bills*.
Make a clean break
Do you spend an extra few minutes in the shower? If so, spending one minute less in the shower each day could save up to £7 on your annual energy bill. With a water meter this could save a further £12 off annual water and sewerage bills. If everyone in a four person family did this it would lead to a total saving of £80 a year**.
Take it down a notch
Turning down your room thermostat by just one degree can save around £75 a year*.
Get switched on – with LEDS
If the average household replaced all of their bulbs with LEDs, it would cost about £100 and save about £35 a year on bills*.
